My prescription eyewear feels distorted or uncomfortable. What should I do?Updated 19 hours ago

Some people, especially those new to wraparound prescription eyewear, notice that their vision initially feels different from their everyday glasses. Wraparound lenses have a more curved shape and may require an adjustment period of up to two weeks.

What can I do while adjusting?

If your vision feels mildly unfamiliar but manageable, start with short periods of wear in comfortable everyday settings and gradually increase the time. Do not rely on eyewear that is making you dizzy or visually uncomfortable during play, driving or other activities where clear vision is essential.

When should I contact RIA?

If you experience significant visual discomfort, persistent dizziness, difficulty seeing clearly or symptoms that concern you, contact our RX team promptly rather than waiting for the full adaptation period. Not every visual problem is normal adaptation, and you should not assume it will resolve on its own.

What if the problem continues?

If the difficulty remains after approximately two weeks of regular wear—or sooner if symptoms are significant—complete our RX Issue & Lab Check form. Our RX team and lab will review your order and determine the appropriate next steps.

For complete RX terms, see our Prescription Eyewear Policy.
