RIA uses different frame materials to balance comfort, durability, fit and sport performance.

Core TR90 collection

Most RIA eyewear frames, including Versa, Vantage, Model One, Reflex, Tempo, Response, Forte, Nova, Contour, Aura and Synergy, are made with TR90 — a lightweight, flexible and durable thermoplastic. These frames are manufactured in Italy.

Titanium Series

Phantom and Zephyr are made in Japan with titanium fronts and flexible beta-titanium temples. Their premium construction prioritizes lightweight comfort, durability and refined styling.

Lens materials

Lens materials vary by sport and frame construction. RIA uses premium impact-resistant lens materials, including our R-Impax5 and lightweight R-Vivid materials. The lens and frame combination you choose determines the specific construction. See the individual product page for details.
